Programs

Employment & Training

Basic employment services (e.g. referrals or counselling) are available to any Aboriginal person, but the O-GI makes more in-depth services (such as training or wage subsidies) available to people who have traditionally been excluded from funding, namely, those with no affiliation to First Nation, Inuit or Métis organization. Others, like people who are out of their home province and therefore unable to access funding through their band (for example), are also eligible for these "labour market development" funds.
