The responsibility of the Aboriginal Prenatal Nutrition Program is to provide community based education and healthy promotion programs to our Aboriginal parents who are expecting or who already have young babies aged 0- 3 months.

We will do our best to provide support to all our Aboriginal Families and community members. Please come in and visit.

Home Visits:

 

One-on-One support is provided during this time

We can assist in getting your home ready for the baby

Assistance in the care of your newborn such as: bathing, diapering and feeding the baby

Routine updates on the progress of your infant

Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Classes

 

This component of the program provides the new/expectant parent with information in the stages of pregnancy/delivery, and information on how to care for themselves and the new baby

Guest speakers, professionals, elders, grandmothers and workshops will also be available
