Family Support

Program Goals
To provide support to families and their children through the provision of holistic, healing and preventive services. Services will be available in a culture-based methodology, which targets the perception, prenatal, post-natal, and learning years of the child. Prevention and Education Programs, and support to single parent families will also be a part of this program.:

Aboriginal Family Support Program

LITTLE TYKES
This program is available for children ages 2 to 4 years old and they will be participating in different activities that will enhance their social, mental and motor skills.

PARENT RELIEF
A program for parents who need to attend appointments, do errands, or who need time to themselves, while their children are involved in various developmental activities in the Family Support Program.

MOMS, DADS AND TOTS
This program is available for parents who want to come with their children to participate in different developmental activities and to socialize with others.

CRAFT/COOKING TIME
Participants will learn to create crafts/ household items. This will be accomplished through sharing ideas and helping each other, as well as through resource people/elders.

POSITIVE PARENTING CLASSES
A program for anyone who wishes to enhance their parenting skills, to receive support & learn from others. Referrals from other agencies are also appreciated.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
This program is for kids 6-14 years old & is geared to help kids with their homework, and to provide a place for them to interact with other children.
